On June 12, City Council Members Keith Ordeneaux, Greg Hill, Tony Carbone, Scott Sherman and Gary Moore accepted Officer Jeff Evans’ “Ice Water Challenge” to raise money for the 100 Club of Pearland.
“We have accepted the ice water challenge from Officer Jeff Evans in support of the 100 Club of Pearland,” said Hill. “Not reluctantly, but proudly. We call out the challenge to City Manager Clay Pearson, [Assistant City Manager] Jon Branson, [City Attorney] Darren Coker, Chief Doyle, Chief Riley, and [PEDC President] Matt Buchanan, so come on! You have 5 days to accept this challenge as a group or 1 day if you do it individually. If you fail to accept the challenge, you have to make a $100 donation to the 100 Club of Pearland, and some of you could get fired…that’s a joke!” Hill laughed. “If you accept the challenge, you make a $10 donation to the 100 Club of Pearland and give the Challenge to someone else. The longer we keep it going, the more money we raise for the 100 Club!”
Thanks to the support of Officer Evans and the Pearland City Council! We look forward to seeing the other City officials get chilly! And an extra thank you to Council Members Scott Sherman and Keith Ordeneaux, who not only took the Challenge, but donated anyway!
